Do you believe...
I have to believe because it is what I write about. It is what I read. And to be honest, I have seen a thing or two that I truly have no rational explanation for.
For instance, about 12 years ago my husband and I were out and about up by the lake. It was around midnight and we were star gazing, suddenly, three pinpoints of light zipped in from opposite directions and formed three points like a triangle. I completely freaked out and so did he. They stayed that way for less then 30 seconds and then took off back the way they each had came. It was wild. That was when I developed my fascination with UFO’s and crop circles.
And if you want to talk about some wild suppositions I recommend reading Zecharia Sitchen’s "The Earth Chronicles" or the companion volumes "Genesis Revisited" and "Divine Encounters". They are extremely good reads. Here is a link I found about the "evil wind" that he mentions in his books in reference to the ending of the Sumerian civilization. http://www.sitchin.com/evilwind.htm
And I may sound extremely gulable but I love reading stuff like that. Here is a cool link to some pretty weird and little known facts about our moon.

And this one is just plain freaky and I have to add it just for fun!

You wouldn’t believe some of the things I have found when looking up stuff on UFO’s, fairy sightings, physic abilities - it is unbelievable. And no, I don’t believe everything I read but I must admit it is highly entertaining!
I can say I am never bored!

I find this stuff fascinating, and spent a lot of time researching it at one time. A very good writer on UFOs is Jacques Valle, a french scientist, who goes back in history and shows how the sightings and experiences of UFOs have been experienced by human beings for thousands of years. The difference being that in each era, they see things which they can relate to from their own cultural perspectives.
In the modern era it is space ships, in the 19th century strange airships were seen, in more anceint times flying chariots. In more recent times people experience abduction and encoutners with aliens, in olden times it was elves or spirit beings.
The interesting thing is that the basic structure and form of the encounters and the nature of the experiences, things such as the way the beings behave, the sense of loss of time, abuduction, the rings in the earth left behind, don't change much over time, only the interpretation people put upon them. So something is going on.
Whether it is just part of being concious sentient beings, or it is something more mysterious, who knows. But what I like about Valle's approach is that he does not draw any conclusions, he only suggests that the phenomena should be studied and explored like anything else about human experience and behaviour.
I have not really see any UFOs, but I have had plenty of unusual experiences that suggest to me that minds are connected, somehow subtly by some kind of field. And what is so strange about this? Nothing really, it is experiences by so many people it is radiculous to dimiss it. Where the problem lies, is not just in scientific hostility to such things, but the fact that, like a lot of human things, it appears to be unpredictable and difficult to measure and almost miscieviously ellusive. It is about who we are I guess, something that science can never answer, and we can only answer by knowing ourselves better.
Afterall, in some cultures, no-one is in the least bit surprised by seeing spirit beings or having 'unusual' perceptions. To some cultures that is just as normal as seeing flowers on trees and taling to your neighbour. Perhaps in modern times and western cultures we have got so distracted by the material world around us, we have forgotten how normal it is to exist with connection to the life and conciousness of things around us.
